FAN silver larimar ring

The ÉVENTAIL silver larimar ring is a unique piece handmade in the heart of Rajasthan, India. We created this model with Shankar, one of our craftsmen-partners in this region. A magnificent ethnic design, which has a lot of character while remaining delicate, by its finesse. The composition is made of fine silver braids of various diameters and collages. A superb work, meticulously executed in quality 925 silver. This one has been aged to give the model a vintage patina. The fine stone is a larimar, a rare stone, lagoon blue in color with a few clouds of white.

The properties of larimar

The larimar, a fine stone with such a beautiful history! It is the stone of love and the story goes that it holds the loved one. This mysterious blue and green water stone comes straight from the Dominican Republic. It is the only larimar deposit in the world. It was discovered in 1900 but was not exploited until 1975. It was Miguel Mendez who succeeded in obtaining an exploitation right. He gave the fine stone the name of his daughter Lari, to which he added the word “mar”, sea in Spanish. Hence the name of larimar. The Bahoruco mine still belongs to Miguel Mendez.

Tip: the larimar is photosensitive, storing it in the dark will prevent it losing its color over the years.

In lithotherapy the larimar is reputed to be a stone of extreme softness, which brings calm and balance. The stone stimulates vital centers and self healing. The larimar stabilizes the nervous system and enhances the joy of living. Stone of well-being, it is recommended to wear the larimar close to the body. It can also be associated with other stone (rock crystal, turquoise, chalcedony ...)

925 silver, the material of your ring

The silver used to make the jewelry can not be pure 100%, because it would be too soft. In order to work it is added one or more alloy metals, most of the time copper.
