The material of our solid silver rings

We carefully craft solid silver rings made exclusively from 925 silver, also known as sterling silver. 925 silver contains exactly 92,5% pure silver, a percentage that meets international quality standards. Because pure silver is too malleable, an alloy metal is added to give it strength and hold.

Thanks to this subtle blend, our solid silver rings retain their shine while remaining durable and durable. In many countries, including Europe, 925 silver represents the essential standard for handcrafted jewelry.

In fact, this type of silver has been used since the 14th century, a testament to its durability and historical recognition. It is also known as Sterling Silver 925, an Anglo-Saxon term used by jewelers worldwide.

So our solid silver rings combine elegance, robustness and timelessness, for a piece of jewelry that you will keep for life.

Thailand - Fon & Lek workshop

KAREN ring in solid silverLek's artisan workshop is located in northern Thailand, near the Burmese border. This region, both wild and unspoiled, is home to the Karen, a mountain ethnic group with ancestral skills. For generations, the Karen have worked with exquisite materials such as fabric and silver with great skill. Their manual dexterity is remarkable, and their attention to detail is impressive.

Unlike many countries where 925 sterling silver is used as a standard, the Karen craft an even purer silver, composed of 95 to 98% silver. This choice demonstrates a rare high standard and loyalty to tradition. It gives the solid silver rings an exceptional quality, both noble and authentic.

I first met Fon and Lek in Bangkok, where they regularly go to sell their creations at the market. At first, communication wasn't easy—Thai people don't always speak English well. But through gestures, smiles, and patience, we learned to understand each other. And, above all, to trust each other.

Since that first encounter, I've been traveling regularly to northern Thailand. With each visit, I rediscover the region's raw beauty, the richness of its crafts, and the endless creativity that drives its people. There, inspiration is everywhere: in the colorful markets, traditional textiles, and the joyful ingenuity that emanates from the smallest corners of a workshop.

India - Govin's workshop

Govin's workshop is nestled in the heart of Rajasthan. This region in northeast India has been renowned for its jewelry expertise since time immemorial. Rajasthan is a very colorful region with immense cultural richness. It's not for nothing that it's one of India's most popular tourist destinations. In this fabulous workshop, a few talented artisans fervently work silver, setting, brushing, and polishing. The workshop is a veritable treasure trove, overflowing with a thousand fine stones. No machines, except for polishing equipment! All solid silver rings are handmade, from A to Z. Forget machines, even the simplest ones. It's all the more incredible to see a piece of jewelry come to life.

India – Soni's Workshop

Soni's studio is nestled in the charming town of Pushkar, in the heart of Rajasthan. There, Soni, a passionate young Hindu, devotes his energy fully to his art. A family man, deeply pious and committed to his community, he perfectly embodies the values we uphold.

Because his workshop remains modest, Soni collaborates daily with other artisans to compensate for his limited tools. This adds a bit to the creation process, but the result is well worth the extra time. We've been working hand in hand with Soni since early 2019.
