Where are our bracelets made?
It is in the heart of Rajasthan, in the holy city of Pushkar that our golden bracelets are made.
The Indians are masters in the art of making jewelry in gold, silver and recently brass. Indian jewelry artisans respond to local desires with gold jewelry, laden with detail, as well as modern Western trends with sleek jewelry.
For hundreds of years, princes have had gold jewelry and exquisite adornments made, set with precious and semi-precious stones. The culture of jewelery invades all Indian social classes, because it is an ancestral way of investing one's wealth, however small it may be.
The material of our bohochic golden bracelets
Brass jewelry is naturally golden and keeps its shine with a simple wipe. They require a little more attention than gold jewellery, the only stainless metal. The brass is an alloy of pink copper and gray zinc, it has a natural matte yellow color which gives it a slight vintage look. Like 925 silver, brass oxidizes on contact with air and over time. Oxidation is a surface phenomenon and it is easy to overcome, in order to keep your brass jewelry sparkling.
The two main things to do for good maintenance of brass jewelry are to store them in pouches or a jewelry box, and to protect them from contact with acidic substances. Discover our maintenance tips.
