Origin of Omyoki women's bracelets
Our silver bracelets are 100% handmade in Thailand and India. The gold bracelets come from India, while those made of natural stones are handmade in Nepal. Every year we travel to these wonderful countries to work with our partner artisans on new models.
Most of our women's bracelets in silver and without fine stones are made in northern Thailand by the Karen tribes. Indeed, this people from Burma is the guardian of a centuries-old know-how. More precisely, the work of hammered and brushed silver.
As for the silver and natural stone bracelets, they are made in India, in the heart of Rajasthan. It is a land of princes and maharajas, where craftsmanship and know-how in jewelry have been renowned for hundreds of years.
As to natural stone bracelets, precious wood and seeds, they are delicately handmade in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.
Materials of your jewelry
The materials of our jewelry are noble, with certified 925 silver and quality fine stones. The semi-precious stones come mostly from India and neighboring countries. This is why you will find a lot of turquoise, moonstone, labradorite, rose quartz, natural agates and many more. Finally, special attention is paid to the finishing of the jewelry. Indeed, delicate and meticulous work is brought to each piece, to make them timeless jewelry.
Women's Bracelets from Fair Trade
Omyoki follows the Fair Trade Charter. Our jewelry is created to support the hard work of small workshops, women's groups, or the work of local artists. This, in developing countries. Indeed, our goal is to provide work in areas less favored than ours and to improve the lives of artists and their families.
Also, each workshop is visited beforehand, to check the working conditions, the quality of life and the fair remuneration of the artisans. This is how a personal relationship is woven with each artisan, around countless teas and spending hours discussing. Discover our video of craftmen presentation video .
