AFGHAN lapis lazuli necklace

The AFGHAN lapis lazuli necklace is an Omyoki creation, handmade in Nepal. It is composed of semi-precious stones of deep blue lapis lazuli reminiscent of the ocean. Two small beads engraved with lotus flowers bring an exquisite delicacy to the necklace. Entirely handmade by Mahesh, our artisan-partner in Kathmandu, Nepal, this jewel carries the values ​​of fair trade.

The properties of lapis lazuli

Lapis lazuli is a deep, dense blue stone. It is a fine quality semi-precious stone. There are deposits of lapis lazuli in Afghanistan, Chile, and Russia. In lithotherapy, lapis lazuli is a symbol of gaiety and harmony. It is a stone of love and friendship, which creates an aura of tenderness and sympathy around its owner. Lapis is particularly recommended for nervous people, on whom it has a calming action. Lapis provides good sleep and develops intuition.

Colors: Indigo blue to sea blue, sometimes speckled with white (calcite) or golden glitter (pyrite)
Chemical composition: Silicate sulfur of aluminum and sodium.
