Sodalite is an azure blue stone, opaque to translucent, sometimes veined with white. It is often confused with lapis lazuli, which offers a similar chemical composition. The main sodalite deposits are found in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, United States, Greenland, France, Italy, and Namibia.
