Origin of Bumblebee Jasper
Bumblebee jasper is very rare, and its only deposit is in Indonesia, on the island of Java. It is from the area of the Papandayan volcano that this stone is extracted. It was from 1990 that it was discovered and used in jewelry. Bumblebee jasper owes its name to its successive layers of orange and black colors reminiscent of the bumblebee.
