Description

SHERPANI fair weekend bag

Go for a walk with the SHERPANI fair weekend bag. Practical, resistant and above all very chic, it will be the perfect travel companion for a getaway.

A collection of ethical bags

OMYOKI ethical bags are handmade in Nepal. These are bags combining fair trade, local raw materials and eco-responsible, and the work of women in difficulty. Their story is touching in many ways… and their design made up of traditional Nepalese fabric and suede is out of the ordinary. To know more, read their story.

Eco-friendly fabrics

The materials used are traditional ethnic fabrics from Nepal. The thick outer weaving parts and linings are 100% handmade using cotton imported from India (mainly fair trade raw materials, but also from unfair suppliers from disadvantaged and economically difficult environments). Other parts are made of allo nettle wool that grows in the foothills of the Himalayas.

The fabrics are woven by Nepalese women from disadvantaged backgrounds, using simple and age-old methods. The fabrics are made from A to Z, that is to say from the spinning of cotton, to the color, and to weaving.

The dyes are eco-responsible. The bags and pouches are made of fabrics dyed in two ways, with:

  • natural dyes for light and pastel shades
  • AZO-FREE chemical dyes for black or bright colors. AZO-FREE class dyes are free of heavy metals and hazardous chemicals. The environmental risks in the country of production are thus limited and the wearing of articles on the skin is safe for health.

Suede or nubuck leather

Suede, also called nubuck and sometimes suede leather, is a soft and warm material. The one used here comes from India. Countries where Muslims (in Hindus the cow is sacred and leather is not used) work leather, leather and suede. Suede is a flexible and soft component of OMYOKI bags. These suede parts add a touch of chic and elegance.

Very pretty In green 💚, I love large bags, I use them as a handbag every day, because I always have my large water bottle with me. I particularly like the sobriety of the materials used which adapts to my different looks.
