MANDALA turquoise ring

The MANDALA turquoise ring is a marvel. The design is composed of a magnificent mandala in solid silver, in the center of which is set a small domed turquoise. Definition of mandala

The mandala is a very elaborate design, formed of circles and concentric figures. Since the dawn of time, the circle has been the symbol of the cycle of life (birth, maturity, death, resurrection). In Buddhism, the mandala is used to meditate and reflect on the impermanence of life. The mandala is both a summary of spatial manifestation, an image of the world, and a representation of divine powers. In the paintings, the mandalas are filled with symbols, all of which have meaning, and sometimes with mystical figures. Some, very elaborate and codified, become semi-figurative, semi-abstract.

The properties of turquoise

Turquoise offers a variety of colors ranging from light blue to dark blue, veined with black. Turquoise deposits are found in many countries: Tibet, China, Iran, Afghanistan, Mexico, United States (Arizona), Chile, Australia, Israel, Tanzania. Very present in Buddhist, Nepalese, or Tibetan, it symbolizes material and spiritual wealth. Turquoise blue in Buddhism represents the life of humans in their life / death duality and earth / sky wisdom.

The etymology of the name "turquoise" comes from Turkish stone, because it is in Turkey that the Europeans found it (and that although the mineral was imported from Iran). She gave her name to the turquoise color.

In lithotherapy, turquoise is an emblem of courage. This semi-precious stone is also considered to be a source of well-being. It is also a symbol of wisdom. It arouses the nobility of feelings, indulgence and generosity.

Colors: sky blue, blue green to green gray
Chemical composition: Basic hydrated phosphate of aluminum and copper.
Chakras: Chakra of the neck and the throat.

The material of your ring

The silver used to make jewelry cannot be 100% pure because it would be too soft. In order to be able to work it, we add one or more alloying metals to it, copper most of the time. Silver jewelry, in Europe and in most countries of the world, is 925 silver. It is 1st grade silver, it has a minimum content of 92,5%. This is also called sterling silver, from the English Sterling Silver 925. Sterling silver, for example, is made up of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. Sterling silver has been a category of silver for jewelry in many countries since the 14th century.
