The LAO silver malachite bracelet is a superb unique piece. This solid silver jewel was entirely handmade. It was made in India, in a fair trade approach. It is Shankar, one of our partner craftsmen from Rajasthan who shaped this jewel. The bracelet is adjustable and is suitable for average wrists.

The properties of malachite

Malachite is the stone of expression. In lithotherapy it is a very used stone. It helps fight against pain and joint problems. It is also given anti-bacterial properties. Affixed directly to painful areas, it relieves inflammation and pain.

Malachite has been known and used for millennia for medicinal, cosmetic and decorative purposes. Reduced in powder it served to color the frescoes or was used in make-up. There are also many monuments around the world, with columns, statues and malachite objects. Malachite powder was used in Egypt by nobles to make up the eyes. In Africa, it is reputed to destroy the resistance of the enemy. In Greece, it represents the protective power. In Laos, the beneficial rain.
