CELESTE moonstone necklace

The CELESTE moonstone necklace is a fair trade necklace. Composed of semi-precious stones of moonstone and two silver lotus flower beads, it is a jewel full of sweetness. This model was created with Mahesh, our craftsman-partner from Nepal. All our jewels are created and manufactured in a logic of fair trade. Thanks to a close relationship with Nepal, we have sought out the craftsmen most in tune with ethical and meaningful creations. Mahesh shapes most of our malas and bracelets by hand. A family man and spiritual man, he makes these jewels with infinite patience and by reciting mantras (prayers).

The properties of the moonstone

Moonstone comes mainly from India, Brazil, USA and Australia. Moonstone stones from Omyoki jewelry come from India.

In lithotherapy, moonstone is recognized as a predominantly female stone. It promotes a good hormonal balance.
Moonstone develops intuition. It brings softness and tolerance for hard and harsh people.

Meaning of the lotus flower

The lotus flower represents a Buddhist metaphor. This beautiful flower blossoms in the middle of swamps, which represents the possibility for any individual to reach enlightenment, whatever his or her starting environment. The lotus draws its beauty from the darkness of the mud, which makes a reference to the Buddha who decided to give up his life of prince after seeing the old age and the death of his eyes.

The lotus flower can symbolize the path of enlightenment:
• roots, purely material and below the surface of the water.
• leaves that open with the day above the surface of the water.
• Finally, the majestic flower that emerges from the heart and could be assimilated to enlightenment.
