Our story
Modern women want to be beautiful and assertive, to take care of themselves, consume in ethical ways, eat healthy, and wear quality products!
Omyoki was created to promote ethical fashion, with quality products, handmade and manufactured by artisans in developing countries. We have opted for fair trade in order to transform for the better the living and working conditions of artisans and their families in countries less favored than ours.
Our fair trade jewelry is handmade in India, Nepal, by Tibetans from Indian and Nepalese communities, and by Karen tribes in Thailand. Choosing ethical fashion is choosing to consume products made in traditional ways, in workshops that have decent wages, good working ethics and methods, but also to help local people preserve ancient craft and knowledge.
Our products are made by artisans in small workshops, by groups of women, or by isolated artisans.
Our goal is to provide work in less fortunate areas than ours and to improve the lives of artisans and their families.
